Sure, it really is semester that is second summer may feel it’s appropriate around the part. But even you end up attending will review your spring grades even after you’ve been admitted if you had a stellar fall semester academically, the college. If your grades decrease through the right time you were admitted, there is a opportunity that your admission could be rescinded. And no one wants to cope with that.
Here are tips on the best way to avoid senioritis:
Do enjoy your self! You’re only a school that is high once. Look for a stability between hanging down with friends, going to high college occasions, and buckling right down to study for AP exams classes.
Never allow your grades slip. You’ve worked hard for way too long to stop caring and start slacking. Colleges will require notice of a trend that is downward grades.
Do keep your eyes on the prize: college. You know that saying that college will be the best years you will ever have? Imagine how far more you’ll enjoy it knowing you are as a college student that you worked hard in high school to get where.
Never let others peer pressure you into not caring regarding the classes. Maybe some of one’s classmates have now been admitted to the college of these ambitions and believe that now is a great time to celebrate and relax. As I mentioned previously, colleges will view your final senior school transcript, which can influence your offer of admission.
Do remain positive! This will be a stressful time- waiting to get admission decisions, wanting to decide where you can spend the next four years of your life are not easy items to manage. Focus on your academics and involvements and spend time with relatives and buddies rather than driving yourself crazy waiting by the mailbox or computer for college admission decisions.
Chances are you are going to own some fantastic college options. Celebrate your victories. Continue steadily to work hard. And above all? Take a breath that is deep. Your senior 12 months is what you make from it.
Valentine’s is upon us, and what better way to celebrate than by sharing a love story that is near and dear to our hearts day.
It was Fall of 1986, and our esteemed Director of Admission, Kirk Brennan, was only a mere freshman studying Cinema at USC. Kirk lived on the ‚Cinema Interest‘ floor of the dorm, mostly inhabited by other movie guys and only a few girls (in those days, the School of Cinematic Arts possessed a male majority). Certainly one of those girls ended up being Julie- or ‚Bubbles‘ as her friends affectionately called her because of her big, bubbly personality.
Kirk and Julie had one course together at USC- a Geography course. Kirk says certainly one of his favorite memories at USC involved this program: He stayed up so late working on his ‚480‘ film project which he slept through the due date of the big Geography lab! He begged the TA to accept their homework that is late and his relief, she complied. Thankfully, Julie never heard about Kirk’s tardiness!
One time, Kirk and his friends decided it would be fun to have a assessment party, and fortunately for them, Julie offered to host the celebration at her Dad’s house in Santa Monica. Julie, an excellent cook, whipped up some fried chicken for the hungry teens, and in accordance with Kirk, that’s when he knew he had to ask her away: ‚When I saw her cooking that chicken, I thought she was pretty adorable!‘
A couple weeks later, on September 19th, 1986, Kirk invited Julie to a fraternity rush celebration, which may become referred to as their very first date. One date is all it took- Kirk and Julie ‚decided to get together‘ after that night, and six years later, Kirk got down on one knee and asked Julie become his wife.
And now for the proposal…
When Kirk’s buddy told him that he was moving and wanted to really have a goodbye party, Kirk saw an opportunity to ask buddies and family over and pop music the question ‚under the guise of a house cooling celebration.‘ Kirk rented a camera that is video Blockbuster (evidently you could do that in the nineties) to ensure the day would live in perpetuity. Too bad the Trojan Marching Band ended up beingn’t there to serenade!
Kirk asked Julie to marry him, and in they will celebrate two decades of marriage june. As Kirk says, ‚marriage ain’t easy, but it’s worthwhile!‘
Through the Trojan Family to yours, Happy Valentine’s Day!
